Have you looked at foammart.com l200 and denser? Also foamfactory.com
Has anyone ever turned high density EVA foam on a lathe? I need 2" EVA foam rods or dowels. Or is there a place i can purchase them? Making perfect 2" EVA rods is a pain.
Aliya M. replied:
TNT Cosplay has 48 mm EVA 38 dowels, which are just shy of 2". Hope that helps!:) http://tntcosplaysupply.com/store/p43/EVA-38_Foam_Dowels_.html

Take a look in the plumbing department of a hardware store. There are foam insulation tubes that might work for you and being tubes they can hold something to stiffen them if needed. The 3/4" diameter is for the pipe, which is inside diameter so this is probably close to 2" outside the foam. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Frost-King-0-75-in-x-6-ft-Foam-Plumbing-Tubular-Pipe-Insulation/3130471

Does anyone have any recommendations for adhesive to use to attach craft foam to fabric?
Jonathan B. replied:
I use super 80 which is designed for car headliners basically. I've lugged the shit made in this video to half a dozen cons and just throw it in whatever. Still trucking along. Does stiffen the fabric but masking can help with that for limited coverage or if its full coverage on an area then it doesn't matter all that much as the foam will stiffen it. https://youtu.be/L752JJxvYno
Brian W. replied:
http://www.thistothat.com/ Super 77 Fast 74 Barge Cement (any contact cement) Hot Glue Super Glue (not on cotton fabric) You can sew it if you're using super dense EVA types. Do you need it to be flexible? Long lasting? Set up quickly? I am not a fan of Hot Glue, but what works is what works. I just don't like it's finished look. Contact Cement has the best flexability and durability, but you need to be careful and skilled with it. Super glue is just super glue. Super 77 & fast 74 are adhesive types out of a spray can. Not the most durable, but quick and strong.

Just go to your local big box store and look for floor mats that are smooth one side. You can usually get 4 x sheets 24" x24" for less than $20. You don't have to worry about messing up or redoing things and you can get better quality foam online in the future. Punished props and Evil Ted on YouTube are good resources.
