I need a trim Looking for salon/barber recommendations. For reference I’m a male with long hair needing a small trim and fading at the sideburns.

Highly recommend Wheelhouse Salon. Newman’s Classic Cuts is also good.

I should mention before I let my hair grow out I went to Stephen Gregory’s.
Good place for an inexpensive men's haircut? Looking for a new place after my favorite barber moved away. I used to pay around $25-$30 before the tip, but some places...

It can be a bit of a drive depending where in the area you live, but Carl Suggs shop on Highway 52 (near South Shades Crest - not sure if it's Helena, Bessemer, or Hoover here) is an old fashioned shop that has a number of barbers that do good work.

Genry’s Barber Shop on 1 st Ave N in Woodlawn. It used to be Vincent Oliver’s Hippodrome (RIP Vince) and is the oldest continuously running barber shop in town. $15 for a cut.

I highly recommend Newman’s Classic Cuts, which is located inside Seasick Records in Crestwood. Prices start at $20 for haircuts. You do have to book in advance online (or pay more for a walk-in), but they have two barbers and you can book either one. I’ve had my hair cut by AP there for the past two years and I’m always happy with the results.

Sandy's Olde Tyme has moved back to the Oxmoor Barber & Style location near Hardees at Oxmoor Blvd. Sandy has done my wet cut for almost 20 years, between $20-25.

The Collective and Jhane do a great men’s cut. I moved here about a year ago and had the same barber for around 15 years. I actually like the way she cuts it better now. Around $27 for the cut and you get a free beer too.
