ellice automotive HANDS DOWN. i'm a mechanic in town and work on plenty of volkswagens, but rick and neil are the most knowledgable volkswagen guys in town. I went to school with rick, who is neil's son. he is an absolute master at what he does, he also has a degree in electrical engineering. several other shops in town hire rick for diagnostic work on cars they can't fix, no one will argue this. they also have a lot of machine shop equipment in house, and do full rebuilds on a regular basis. if you head down that way tell rick that the miata guy sent you, he'll take great care of you.

Car is over heating. probably you shouldn't drive it. It will blow the motor as well. most likely water pump failure. but needs to be check to make sure. If and when u get it fixed spend the extra money and get the arp head studs and if u haven't done the egr delete kit do that and a new oil cooler. Trust me it will save ur as n the long run I have been down that road. Mark Stoddard in Seadrift is a good one to take it
