Canakit in Vancouver has a few starter kits and they have a web store. http://www.canakit.com/arduino/arduino-kits If you don't mind internet purchasing from the US Sparkfun has several options https://www.sparkfun.com/categories/103 There's also adafruit https://www.adafruit.com/products/68 I bought the Sparkfun Inventors kit which Canakit sells: http://www.canakit.com/arduino-professional-kit.html I recommend the kit, you get little tutorials and all the parts you need.
