Looking to possibly get married in Victoria next August/Sept. Was thinking oak bay maybe. Any other recommendations? Also looking for a photographer and limo service....

Saxe point is an amazing venue for a sunny outdoor ceremony Source: had mine there. Bonus, it's municipal land so a permit is 1/10 th the price of renting basically any other place.

Maybe you ought to clarify: big or small wedding? Indoor or outdoor ceremony? Ceremony & reception close by, or doesn't matter? These are all pretty basic questions you have to answer before you even begin scouting locations.

I strongly recommend against marriage anywhere. But if you insist I'd echo Saxe Point as a beautiful location although it may be full of Pokemon GO players.

Is anyone in your network a member of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club? It's a great wedding venue, but you have to be "sponsored" by a member to rent it.

We were originally planning to get married in Brentwood Bay. Check it out. Oak Bay would be great too, you could use Oak Bay Beach Hotel which is awesome.

A six pence is a coin they use in the UK and I probably have one from when I went to Europe last year. It is the final part of the rhyme -- something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, a sixpence in the bride's shoe http://www.royalmint.com/discover/celebrations/classic-coin-wedding-traditionshttp://www.royalmint.com/discover/celebrations/classic-coin-wedding-traditions Check out this site for some history on the sixpence on the brides shoe.
