Hello there! Could someone recommend me a good dentist in Vienna that takes the WGKK insurance? I know the websites to look for them, but I'm looking for actual...

dr Andreas Pinter www.andreaspinter.at/ 18 th Bezirk, the best dentist and they accept wgkk. WGKK only covers partly the costs, the fillings if you want white, you have to pay and get partlyreimbursement back later.
Cristina S. replied:
Dr. Gerhard Schager, he is really good, works with wgkk, his daughter is also a dentist working in the same place. He has the latest technology appliances, and you will enjoy really good music while you wait:) here you have two links ;) http://www.docfinder.at/arzt/zahn-mund-und-kieferheilkunde/1140-wien/dr-gerhard-schager-12967_1http://www.gerhardschager.at

Unizahnklinik is pretty fantasitc in my experiance, they everything you need there, all the tech and ok prices but standard stuff should be covered
Sogeman replied:
Just go to the wgkk http://www.wgkk.at/portal27/portal/wgkkgeportal/content/contentWindow?contentid=10007.747392&action=2 Not sure about the language but I'll assume they speak English. The one I was at was nice. You won't be able to choose who you get but they'll probably immediately know what you have to pay if you have to pay anything.
Mistbeutel replied:
Andreas Potyka. Con: He is extremely far away. Pro: He is extremely competent and I always feel like he knows exactly what he is doing (maybe because he is a former brain surgeon who decided to become a dentist because it pays the same but is much easier).
Anyone in Vienna got a dentist on the WGKK they can recommend?
Thomas R. replied:
if it's an emergency, go to http://www.barmherzige-brueder.at/ and pretend you don't have insurance. a wisdom tooth pulled will cost you 10 euros.
Thomas R. replied:
or gebietskrankenkasse, should be free of charge: http://www.wgkk.at/portal27/portal/wgkkportal/channel_content/cmsWindow?action=2&p_menuid=56604&p_tabid=6 (no crowns though i think?)

I went to Dr Georg Kuntzl on reinprechtsdorfer Straße And did Not Pay anything for getting withdom teeth pulled out. I went to many many dentists the Last Ten years And these three doctors working there where the first i really liked.
Cheap dentist, no need for appointment? I need to get a teeth cleaning and dental checkup. Most places have quoted me around 100-160€ but I've heard you can find it...

[BVA subsidizes dental cleaning](http://www.bva.at/portal27/portal/bvaportal/content/contentWindow?action=2&contentid=10007.678196). [You can also go to the GKK centers, it's less than 60 EUR there](http://www.wgkk.at/portal27/portal/wgkkgeportal/content/contentWindow?contentid=10007.724816&action=2) (and even cheaper the second time within in one year). We've been there recently (in the 3 rd district), their English was fine, and there was no wait. You can go there even if your insurance is not GKK.

Cheap dentist is an oxymoron.

I am not a dentist but I talk English goodly and I have own hammer and pliers. Will do teeth cheaply.
_MusicJunkie replied:
Dr. Monov in the 18 th district has spent some time in the US AFAIK so English should be no problem I guess. But everyone who went through Uni should be fine with english anyway, it's not like that's a uncommon language in education.

Thanks for all of your recommendations! English is my third language, and I wouldn't assume so much about dentists. Not in my home country, not here either.

The only dentist in Vienna I would let anywhere near my teeth is Jens Busk [http://www.jens\-busk.at/en\_index.html](http://www.jens-busk.at/en_index.html) He's Icelandic but trained in America and speaks perfect English, and is in the 9 th district. Private patients only AFAIK.
Hi guys. Does anybody know a really good dentist? Its really important for me to get a shot of anestethics(schmerzmittel) first. I hear some dentists here dont give u...
Dr Werner Lill, in the 18 th or 19 th district. I forget which. He's great and will give you pain killers (shots) if you want, even extras if they aren't working. I'm not scared, but have very sensitive teeth. I've never had to pay extra for the shots, but hen he's not the cheapest dentist in Vienna either. He's though very up front about costs and if he knows someone who can do a special procedure better than himself, he'll refer you instead of doing it himself. I had to go to the dental hospital for a jaw injury and had to list my dentist. When I said Dr Lill, two of the doctors there told me he's the best is Vienna.
