Las Brisas for brunch, but good luck getting 20 in there. Rusty Pelican or Newport Landing for lunch, but go upstairs to the bar as the view from the restaurant portion sucks and the food and service is better upstairs. San Shi Go in Laguna for sushi in the afternoon. The Rooftop Lounge in Laguna for sunset cocktails. Sounds like I just mapped out your day.
David Q. replied:
What Jodie said Newport Landing (upstairs) has always been a favorite. That's a great point, there is a lot to see from just walking around. Then you can go to Balboa Fun Zone Boat Company and take a tour of the harbor the entire family will enjoy. I recommend the outbound tour so you get to sea the Sea Lions and Mermaids.
Lynne D. replied:
The Beach House in Laguna Beach, they have a big room upstairs. It's right over looking beach

Newpott Landind down by the ferry. Lotd of parking and fun zone. View of boat s going by.

Try Back Bay Bistro. Conveniently located in The Dunes parking lot, a very nice place, great prices, a pianist and an awesome brunch! Try it!
Newport Landing on the peninsula has a private room upstairs with the best bay views. Take a walk on the pier after lunch.

Sabatino's Lido Shipyard Sausage Company. Ask for my mother-in-law: India (Tue - Sat). She and Daniel will take care of you like family. India is an expert on wines and Daniel's food is second to none. They can handle 20 no problem... just book well in advance.

The Cliff Restaurant is outside, casual but nice, they have "live" music once in a while and you can't beat the view - It's on a cliff - Food is great and prices reasonable! Check it out: http://thecliffrestaurant.com

Mr. Taco has them, but salsa is a little weak. Jaime and I always share an order of huevos rancheros and chilaquiles. Both are pretty good when I'm not in the mood to cook my own.
