I am a big fan of https://www.facebook.com/342201463248 Flowers by Hoboken. Always the bouquets are gorgeous and last much longer than the flowers I have received from other florists.
Looking into CSA's for this season. Any recommendations?

Any tips on where to buy native, organic wild flowers? I've checked a couple greenhouses near Rockland (Green Thumb & Plants Unlimited) - and no dice...but I really want...
Amy B. replied:
Start with organic seed and seedlings from Fedco Seeds http://www.fedcoseeds.com/trees/. Be sure to get to their tree sale at the end of April/early May next year. Also, many organic farm stands sell seedlings, so check those, too.

We had Harold Anderson for our DJ, and he was great! Hes from Appleton. If you want to save hundreds of dollars, and you or someone you know want to do the flower centerpieces/corsages/boutonnieres, then you should consider ordering flowers from Shaw's and assembling them yourself. My florist friend did my bridal bouquet (thecottagewedding on Instagram), but my MIL did the centerpieces, corsages, boutonnieres, my MOH and flower girl flowers, and a toss bouquet, using flowers ordered through Shaws. It cost $100 for all the flowers, and the florist gave me a quote of $600 for the same stuff

Don't buy flowers from the grocery, get them from a local farm! We used Sheepscot Flower Farm in Wiscasset and the flowers were amazing, affordable and fresh enough to use for rehearsal dinner, wedding and to enjoy for days after!
