Not sure how far you'd want to travel, but the VA system has a list of all their providers and some of them are closer than others! I work at Pen Bay so I've seen these names quite a bit -- always have heard great things. http://www.maine.va.gov/providerinfo/index.asp

Dr Pier, Rockport. Hygienist are given more time to clean your teeth so they can give you a better experience. I particularly like my hygienist Kathleen. Only thing is that I think their fluoride treatment should be included without extra cost.

Jeff Newsom is the best PCP I've ever had. He's right at the hospital in Belfast. For OB/Gyn I go toJoseph Benoit in Bangor. Also a great guy.

We had a homebirth! Hope Health does a home visit for first check up on the baby (If you also chose them for the care of your baby). We love them!

I was recommended Mary Ashmore in Rockport and I absolutely love her. She does a therapy called OMT for different illnesses and pains. I believe she would listen to your wants and respect your choices. She always hugs me when I leave! She's at Midcoast Medicine in Rockport.
