Anyone have good recommendations for an optometrists in the Rockland area? I would be paying out of pocket so cost is important.

I have had Dr Lary in Camden and he is excellent! He also has a digital machine instead of having your eyes dilated. I love it!
Paulette Z. replied:
Oh you can also apply for carecredit.com and Dr Lary takes that card so you can make payments for 6 months without any finance charges. Was a lifesaver for me! and I was able to put on my exam and glasses on that account. Wonderful!

Dr Poole is very reasonable compared to some others and is very nice. Usually day to get in and there is not the high pressure sales for glasses that I got from Coppola's office. Usually pretty easy to get an appointment without a long wait as well.

Anthony Lee in Rockport is fantastic!

Dr. Poole in Rockland and Belfast. I pay out of pocket and I think it's about $100-150 every year (I have contacts and have to go yearly). Super nice and takes good care of my eyes. Call them to find out their rates.

Dr Poole by Hannaford in Rockland. I personally had professional issues with Dr cappola I couldn't have my eyes dilated or I could go blind and he wouldn't listen and did it anyways without even checking to see if I was right. Which I was, that's not something you make up. Which by the way I've since had laser surgery to correct it thanks to Dr poole

I know someone recently asked about optometrists -- I am curious about who you'd recommend as good but also affordable?

I have gone to Dr. Poole, Rockland, for many years...my last exam was $130 for both contacts and glasses.
Samantha A. replied:
Dr. Marden for sure! I've seen him since I was 15 and both my kids see him.
Mark B. replied:
Dr Marden BY FAR is the best choice in the area. It may cost a little more than you are used to but take it from me (I have a rare eye condition that like only 3 places in Maine will treat and he is one of them) the customer service and care for patients beats none in the area.
Patricia W. replied:
Love Dr Serena Morrison, she is in with Dr Poole
Jill K. replied:
Dr. Poole is wonderful but there is also Seabreeze in Belfast- really nice people.
Iris J. replied:
I believe Dr Coppola is $120.00 and you dont have to have your eyes dialated because he has this big ass machine lol. My kids have been going to him for years and we are self pay.
Does anyone know of any optometrists in the area that take Tricare standard? My daughter's school says she needs to be seen by a optometrist. I'm willing to travel to...
