If its only a small repair, better to NOT tip your hand to insurance...we all have what is called a Red File. It contains everytime you are late with a paymemt, reduce coverage, and call for a potential claim. Your rate is based on a complex formula. Get a roofer to look first! We used Shawn Foster and we were happy. 513-405-4752 I would definitely contact insurance and see if they'd cover it, but keep in mind that once you have a claim, it can raise your insurance rates. I've also heard that they're putting different deductibles, or exclusions on roofing damage now, too.

I used Bresser & Sons Roofing to replace mine two years ago. Two things really impressed me. There was a supervisor on site the entire time, and they had separate metalwork specialists that did all the flashing and metal valleys. Maybe that's standard, but no other company that gave me estimates offered that. It was definitely a quality job.
