Does anyone know of any vets that do a payment plan my dog hasn't had her puppies and she is 67 days pregnant. And all the vet I had called want a 1000. At the time they...
Lori R. replied:
Call Town & Country. When I had to put my Pookie to sleep, they let me make payments.
Lori R. replied:
Whatever you do, don't let them talk you into opening the Pet care credit card at Niles, if you go there. We had horrible experience with payments not posting, harassing phones calls, etc.
Amber G. replied:
Dr Temple in Bristolville
Margaret B. replied:
Love doc temple, he a simple county vet. I know he can be a little hard to get a hold of. If you want to travel farm Orwell . Tri county veterinary. ( 440 437 6335).

Dr Allen in Boardman is amazing and fairly priced.

We like All Creatures. Dr. Evans specifically has been wonderful and has gone above and beyond for our dog on Christmas Eve. She also doesn't push for unnecessary tests.
Erica N. replied:
Dr. Pam Fritsch in Warren. When I decided to have my cat put to sleep in 2014 she was abaolutely wonderful! She was closed and happened to be there when I called on a Saturday afternoon, she let me bring him in then. She did not charge me to put hin down. She had treated him for 2 days before that for sudden seizures. he haf never had one in his life before that day. She was so wonderful I will never take my cats anywhere else! Her prices are very reasonable also. She is awesome!
Pamela P. replied:
I go to champion animal hospital to Dr Holly Ray and she is amazing and afordable
Janie S. replied:
I went to Dr Allen after calling Fritsch, Champion, and Town and country. Dr allen was able to get me in within an hour. It wasnt an emergency but I am impatient (my cat has an ulcer on her lip). He was very kind and thoroughly explained everything. He even gave her some medicine for her behavior . Would definatly recommend and i am not easy to please.
Mandie M. replied:
Dr Allen also accepts carecredit:)
Jake M. replied:
Mandie Kane he is so great, two vets wanted to put my daughters cat to sleep. He diagnosed her with lupus, started meds, she was back to normal in two weeks.
Bob B. replied:

ISO a new vet any suggestions on who you like the best I live in Newton falls so surrounding areas is fine
Alyson L. replied:
Dr Owen at Howland Community Animal hospital is the best! It's a drive but you only take your pet to the vet like once a year so it's not so bad!
Heather C. replied:
I have to agree with alyson, Dr Owen is a great vet, he helped me with a kitten we had. Also I like Town and Country http://www.tc-vet.com/ They have a great place, great staff and I love their hours of operation.

UPDATE:::
I am taking the baby to a vet tonight, but I can not keep it as my mom will likely freak. I need a good home for this baby. I am covering her medical costs...
DO NOT GO TO DR SINGH!!! He's a crook. He wanted to charge me an extra $100 to remove a "cyst" on my dog while he was under anesthesia that was just a SCAB!!!!!! I've heard many other horror stories about him. We go to Dr. Young and Dr. Stefanick both in hermitage, pa. Very reasonable and very thorough. Dr. Young only charges for what he actually does.. i.e., shots, oral medicine, etc.
Pam J. replied:
I like Dr. Fritsch also but her hours didn't work for me - also she didn't do the the major type of surgery - we had to go to Akron. I thank god for the Care Credit Card - most vets take it now and for anything over $200 you get 6 months to pay. Any major amount you can get up to 18 months same as cash. Having 3 ligament surgeries, patella surgery and back surgery it's been a life saver.
Bob B. replied:
We love Pam Fritsch.. She is such a gentle soul. Good Luck!

Pam J. replied:
Town & Country is expensive. I go to Howland Community Animal Hospital. However, the Trum. Co. Dog Pound takes all the dogs to Dr. Singh at the Animal Medical Center in 422 - they are reasonable. Depending on your needs - surgeries I would go to a animal hospital (Town & Country or Howland Community) - for general stuff like shots and spay/neuter I would go to Dr. Singh. He spayed my doggie from the pound.
Lori M. replied:
Pam, I knew someone who worked for Dr.Singh. She quit because she could not handle him charging for tests and proceedures that were never done to people's pets. Town and Country are expensive but it is the best care around. Dr.Fritch is also wonderful.
Pam J. replied:
I will never go to Town & Country. I took my dog there when we first got him. He had a blood blister on the tip of his ear and they wanted to operate and I was told he would lose part of his ear - another time his back legs were stiff and I was told he needed surgery on both knees after x-rays were taken. I took him to Dr. Fritsch - she lanced the blister and it went away - as far as his knees - she told us to excercise him more. He never did have surgery and the stiffness went away. My other dog was acting funny on a Sunday and they would not even look at her - even though my whole family had been taking their animals there for years. I would still be with Dr. Fritsch but her hours aren't good for me. Dr. Owen is the best Vet in town as far as Iam concerned. We came home from work one day and my Rottie's back legs were paralized. We rushed him to Dr Owen - he took Xrays and he had ruptured a disc in his back. Dr. Owen operated and he is able to walk again. He even gave us his personal cell phone number if we needed to reach him. He walks a little funny but he's walking. Love Dr Owen and his staff!!!
Lori M. replied:
At Town and Country, I will only go to certain vets on staff there. Several have saved alot of my guys over the years. Some have gone out of their way to treat my guys by not charging for meds or proceedures. Dr.Suzy is the bomb when it comes to felines. Had one guy eho was misdiagnosed with fip, had him sceduled to be put down. Took him in and the prior vet had been way off the mark. He had a broken pelvis, she saved him and did not charge me for any x-rays or proceedures. Again, there are several vets there I will not use. Do not know Dr.Owen, but do know about Singh. I do not have dogs, only cats. Who is Dr.Owen with?
Becky M. replied:
Town and Country...Great vets and the staff is fantastic. Dr. Susy took care of my shepherd on New Years eve and my husky one other time. She takes her time and explains everything. Dr. Moxley is the bomb when it comes to orthopedic surgery, tells you like it is and takes his time. Both my dogs love him. I wanted xrays and he said I was wasting my money, he said he will do them and charge me but it was not needed. They are not expensive compared to many in the area.
Need recommendations for a vet, relatively close to Cortland that isn't outrageously priced. My cat came home today from being outside since Tuesday and his eyes are all...

Does anyone know a vet that does dental care on cats and isn't terribly expensive? My cat broke one of her canine teeth 3 years ago when she was pregnant, and I didn't...
Annie W. replied:
Dental care for cats and dogs is crazy expensive. I think the veterinary school in Columbus has a low cost clinic. I wish we had something local.....didn't animal welfare begin providing vet services on a low-cost basis? I hope someone comes up with a good solution for you and I am interested to know, as well. Best of luck with your little fur baby.
