Please can someone recommend a GOOD dentist in the warrington or Manchester area? My dentist is the best money can buy but 200 miles away. Help? I can't take anymore.

We used 'The Dental Team' in Chorlton when we lived in Manchester - Jeremy Stolberg is fantastic! A little bit crazy as you'll see by his pic on the link but a fab dentist! http://www.thedentalteammanchester.co.uk/staff.php

I go to Clayton Scott on Lovely Lane. I've been going there for over 25 years and they are great
Lesley R. replied:
I go to the one on the corner of Heath Road, opposite Tesco. I have had the same dentist for a few years now, he's a brilliant dentist and he's friendly, as are the other staff. They did have some dodgy Polish dentists a few years ago but got rid of them. I think they have been taken over since then but the dentists are really good. Xx
I go to My Dentist opposite the Co-op and Red Lion. Never had a problem with them.
Tina E. replied:
Lingley Road. I was a very nervous patient (very!) & had to be sedated for a filling, but Dr Marsden is so lovely - I've now managed a crown and root filling!!

If you're a scaredy cat about dentists maybe Rose Cottage by the sportsmans isn't for you. It does tend to be a probationary place for newly qualified and they soon move on. But I have had the same dentist for a couple of years and Tomas for several. The plus side of having a NQD is that they are very thorough. I've never had a problem. In fact I'd say the best I've had was a big bloke (no sniggers please) called Dave who looked like he'd never heard of an iron. But he was amazingly gentle.
Can anyone recommend a dentist who is good with wimpy adults please? Warrington South if possible

Welcome to the area it is beautiful !!! I used Penketh dentists on the main road by the sportsmans arms. Newly open but have room. My doctors is Westbrook which is brilliant. Drop into the Shannon Bradshaw community cafe on meeting land ( joint building with police station) open most Days from 9 till 2 great food people and a lot of the community go there so you will get to know lots of people . X
Jane S. replied:
Been with Westbrook Med Centre since they opened with just one doctor. They are really great. I think it may be more to do with catchment areas though. The Smile Clinic are a good dentist on Froghall Lane, particularly good if you are nervous/terrified like me. Xx
Colin M. replied:
Avoid Westbrook Medical Centre at all costs, especially if your over 55, imho of course. Lingley Road Dentist is great.

Just wanted to add here that although Penketh Health Centre has had issues on the past over the past month o have needed appointments for my baby and four year old and they have given me ones within the hour... And been really helpful. Just thought it was worth adding positives where due.
Wendy R. replied:
Penketh health centre has some wonderful doctors and nurses. The reception staff are variable in their responses but are acting on instructions from the doctors. I have had very few problems since the new appointment system was installed. Use the system correctly follow the instructions and you won't have problems.☺
Irene K. replied:

Lingley road dental practice is fantastic, takes both private & NHS patients. I moved to Causeway Medical Practice at Hood Lane shops ( the old pub!!) in Devember and they are excellent.
