Hi Rebecca I run Chapelford Pet Sitting Services but I don’t do home boarding but I am able to recommend some home boarders who some of my dog clients have used and who I have had great feedback on. Here is the up to date list of licensed home boarders we have in our area. https://www.warrington.gov.uk/download/downloads/id/7909/home_boarding_list_of_premises.pdf You have to be licensed to do home boarding under the animal boarding establishments act 1963 https://www.warrington.gov.uk/download/downloads/id/4804/licence_conditions_-_homeboarding_dogs.pdf - if you choose to use an unlicensed home boarder then you do so at your own risk as if something happens and you have to claim on their insurance it may not cover it because they're not licensed. A dog client of mine used a home boarder over the other side of town and something happened to her dog and her pet insurance wouldn’t pay because her dog was with an authorised 3rd party at the time of the incident so she was advised to claim off the boarders insurance so she went to do that but they also refused to pay out because no license was held on file. A lot of people aren’t aware of this sadly. I have dog clients who have used Heather Thomalla and she is great her number is 07917 608466. Jo Grant runs Small Paws home boarding and is a small dog specialist and is lovely, her number is 07885 424137 Hope that helps and hope you can get sorted
My Service Dog was supposed to be taken care of by a dog sitter with 7 years experience. They Hid their small dobby pincher. Their male dog pestered her, abused her,...

The words Service Dog made me wonder so I checked and the OP is in the US. Deb, I'm sorry about what happened to your girl but Phoenix Dog Rescue is in the UK so we'd have different authorities here. Maybe the organisation who supplied your dog might be able to advise, or the vet?
