Is there a reason you do not want to go with a big, well-known insurance company? Is it because you think their rates will be high? Smaller companies might offer better rates, but the coverage could be very minimal. Try State Farm, specifically Mike Sprouse. I pay less than $100/month for full coverage a 2016 Jeep Cherokee and I totaled a car in the past.

You can have people shop it for you for free. We always use Mcgroarty Bradbury. They saved us about 400 on our homeowners and two car insurances last year. It is a family owned business. Call American federated 412-372-6812. They're insurance brokers but they will do all the work for you and find you the cheapest deal from ALL companies, especially the ones that aren't super well known...and they don't charge you for it! Then once you sign with one they check it every 6 months and call you if they find a better deal...it's awesome!

Sandra Reis Dames is also absolutely correct. Premiums often go up and you can get nickled and dimed to death from many insurance companies. There are different "tiers" in companies in regards to their services and protections. If youre looking for cheap minimal stuff, lower tired groups like safe auto, geico and progressive are the way to go, but if you get into a major accident, they arent going to be as helpful in protecting you as other "higher tiered" companies and whether at fault or not, can leave you in a lurch. you will likely pay more for coverage from groups like Allstate, State Farm or USAA, but they will offer more protections and services in a major incident
