If you are looking for a in-home I have no babies right now and am available 1 st, 2 sd and 3 rd. If you are looking for a center, I would recommended CUCC or Trinity Church on Kimball.

I would start by getting on the OneList which is a centralized list for most daycare in the region (not including home daycares). If you are on the list you get options and you can decline so there is really no downside. https://regionofwaterloo.onehsn.com Edit: it does contain some home daycares where there are more than 5 kids.

I have had really good experiences with Pluto Daycare, though that was over 6 years ago now. If you haven't found someone by September, go to your closest school either just after school starts or about 5 minutes before it gets out. Look for people with young children with them, they often cluster together and chat. These groups will be a mix of parents who know providers, and people who are providers. Talk to them and ask if they or anyone they know has space.

There is a group on facebook called KWC Childcare Providers and Parentshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/173399186371490/ . You can try asking there.

I highly recommend Bright Starts, but the wait list can be long, unless you are a student or employed by the University of Waterloo.

The YMCAs are fairly good. Focuses on facilitating a positive environment for the children. They can accept full time or part time enrollments. I heard people say good things about Butterfly Daycare as well.

I recommend an in home daycare. I used to work at Community United Child Care Centers and would never send my infant or toddler there or to a place like that. If you want more specific examples, I can share them with you in a less public forum.
Jill T. replied:
Molly Day has her own in-home daycare for youngsters and she accepts infants I believe. She lives close to your parents' house.
