As far as genuine emergencies are concerned, it seems that most will redirect you to the Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Cambridge, but for everything else I've had nothing but a wonderful experience with the [Parkdale Animal Hospital](http://parkdaleanimalhospital.ca/) at Albert and Phillip. When I was getting my initial checkups for my cats, they had the best price I could find in the Northern end of Waterloo. Also when I was deliberating getting my cats de-clawed, they had the best price for that as well.

these guys have been good to us so far and have really good weekend hours. We switched to them when we had an emergency and they were open. http://www.waterloowest.com/
