Welcome Tara! You should come and check out https://www.facebook.com/285791958238408 Grown and Gathered Pappinbarra Community Market for a lovely morning out with great coffee, food and interesting stalls. This Sunday!:) For takeaway, Wok Mania is great and Yummy Thai is also really good.:) Plenty of Dr recommendations - but as someone who moved here not that long ago, sometimes trying to get in to them is hard. We started off with Hastings Medical Centre, and the one reason they are handy is because they have walk in appointments first thing in the morning (6am - 11am) which means if you've got a sick kiddy you don't have to ring around and beg for appointments. Dr Islam and Dr Hayder have both been really good for us. We now have a regular doctor at Campbell Strreet (Dr Daniel Olivieri) who we LOVE, but in a pinch we still go back to HMC because we can get in when we need to.
