Sign up for PSE&G Worry Free. For a small monthly fee, they'll usually come in a day and fix it in MOST cases, without an additional fee. Our ice maker broke. I contacted them by internet, got an appointment for the next day. The tech arrived WITH the new unit, put it in, and that was that. They also cover home furnaces, hot water heaters, central air conditioners, stoves/ovens, washers and dryers. Pick the appliances you want to cover, and the monthly fee is set accordingly. We have NEVER had problems with them, the way we have with BOTH appliance manufacturers or independent appliance repair.
