Well I love my dermatologist. Houston Institute for Dermatology. www.houstonskindr.com. Dr. Cindy Berthelot. Next to Tommy's Patio Cafe on Bay Area. She's aggressive when she needs to be, very patient, takes as long as you need to talk. Her office is beautiful, too. She's fantastic! Her nurse is great, her staff is friendly. I don't know how she is with acne, but if she's as good with that as she is with my complicated skin issues and psoriasis, you'll be delighted. 281-480-7272.

We used Dr. Karan Sra from Dermatological Associates of Texas on Texas Ave. in Webster. Number 281-333-3376. She was great! My son had some issues and she ended up prescribing accutane after a month. Worked wonders for him!! All cleared up in about 3 months and never had a recurrence. I agree about the accutane working, I was hesitant at first, but it really worked and he was closely monitored.

Depends of what kind of Derm problem. My youngest did use Dr. Joe for about 3 years primarily because Sat. Appointments and on our insurance plan, but then had a very bad experience dangerous experience so cannot recommend him anymore. Nice doctor but Emily did not get the care needed with a medication he had prescribed.

I like Dr. Joe too. If you can't get it resolved locally, go to Baylor College of Medicine Dermatology. I know you want local, but they are top notch. Expect a wait to get on calendar.

We have used Dr. Karan Sra with Dermatological Associations of Texas. She was a huge help in diagnosing our daughter's rare cancer.
