Third Gus Fas and second Felix show repair. There is a dry cleaner in the "travelers mini mall" (entrance in prospect across from grove street) but I don't know that they are light on chemicals. They do not have a bothersome smell. A really fantastic dry cleaner is Mercury on Farmington in the west end. Best cleaners (chain) is supposedly green but I had a bad experience the only time I went so I'll have to try again to give a real review.

Looking to dry clean my comforter. Any recommendations for a reliable, reasonably priced dry cleaner?
Peter S. replied:
Comforters in general expensive to clean, especially down. If there are no stains I recommend buying one of those at home dry cleaning kits for the dryer and "freshen it up". Dry Cleaners in WH going to be expensive.

Follow Up to my previous post....I haven't driven by the store lately so I can't confirm whether or not they are still in business. However, their answering machine did pick up a few minutes ago. I had a comforter cleaner this past summer. West Hartford Laundromat 772 Farmington Ave 860 232 0568.

Try Mayflower Laundry on Prospect. They have done good work for me in the past on things like cleaning and recovering feather pillows.
