Third Gus Fas and second Felix show repair. There is a dry cleaner in the "travelers mini mall" (entrance in prospect across from grove street) but I don't know that they are light on chemicals. They do not have a bothersome smell. A really fantastic dry cleaner is Mercury on Farmington in the west end. Best cleaners (chain) is supposedly green but I had a bad experience the only time I went so I'll have to try again to give a real review.

There is one on Farmington Ave. If you are leaving the Center and heading towards Hartford, he is on the left. I can't remember the name of the business, but I was referred to him by Sedgwick Cleaners and he was good. Old school.

Just looked it up. It's called Colonial Shoe repair

There is a guy on Park and Oakwood- behind Chendu who does shoes. West Hartford Shoe repair -15 Oakwood Ave, West Hartford, CT 06119 (860) 233-8927 but I see he got a bad review from one person. He fixed a pair of cheap sandals that I loved so I was happy.
Any suggestions for a shoe repair shop in West Hartford?

Following as well -- I know there's a storefront on Farmington near Whiting Lane (Colonial Shoe Repair) but would love personal feedback on any of the local places!
