Can anyone recommend a good dentist in the area, or is there some kind of dental program for students? I looked at the reviews on Google maps. but I'm so jaded with the...

I would avoid Farabee Family Dental. I had two friends go there on separate occasions and both were told they had multiple(10+) cavities and periodontal disease that would require thousands of dollars to fix. Granted one of them may actually have a few cavities, the other went to his family dentist in August before moving to IN with no mention of any periodontal disease.

I don't have a good recommendation, but you should stay away from Mohr and Mohr. They're in my insurance network, but they still billed me for extras that were never actually done (like X-Rays, fluoride). They also told me I needed extensive dental work-like crowns, multiple cavities-that would have cost thousands of dollars. I had to fight the extra charges with the help of my dental insurance company. Just to get a second opinion, I went to my normal dentist back home, and he only found one minor cavity that needed filled. Very shady business ethics at Mohr and Mohr.

I love my dentist, Erin Evans on 9 th St. Everyone at the office is very friendly and she's always concerned about my comfort there. Been seeing her for over 20 years.

This place: [Sagamore Meadows](http://www.sagamoremeadowsfamilydental.com/) sent out some coupons for a $65 x-ray, cleaning, and full eval for new patients. I took advantage and have no complaints. Really nice people from reception to dentist. I had a pretty long lapse in dental-visits, but no cavities still! The Dr. thanked me for making her job easy at the end of my exam. :) You may need the coupon to get the 65$ price. Not sure, but you could call and ask.

I like Comfort Dental by Culver's. They were very professional and addressed my issue quickly(needed a filling) without trying to come up with a bunch of other things to "fix." None of that "suddenly you need a root canal and ten fillings" treatment that seems to be prevalent in many dental offices around here (I'm looking at you, Lifesmiles Dentistry).

Well as crunchy as CA is, Indiana has phenomenal healthcare and schools so she is movin' on up! Dr. Jeff Hodge (family friend) for the dentist and a pediatrician that we adore is Dr. Hunter. Not sure he takes new patients though.

I've heard great things about Dr Johari Miller

I, of course, recommend Amanda Morris! And Janet Wilson Hallas should comment
Amy A. replied:
Hah! I don't think the fabulous Dr. Morris is taking new patients!

For dentist I recommend Dr. Hodge. Family dentist not just pediatric. Gracious and patient with kids.

Pediatricians----I recommend Dr. Park (female) and Dr. Flahler (male) with IU Health. Dr. Flahler treats my oldest daughter. He's very sports med oriented and also trained in IMPACT in case of concussion. Dr. Park treats my youngest daughter who has significant medical needs. She is new to the area. We had to switch when Dr. Ho took on a more administrative role. My daughter wanted a female doc and Dr. Park has been very attentive and easy to work with. Dentist----Dr. Bozic. We also like Dr. Sammons for orthodontia, but it's often hard to get an appointment.
Rachel W. replied:
Dr. Sammons for dentist/orthodontist. Without doubt. Wholeheartedly recommend. He's honest, practical, and a dad. He's the bomb diggity and you can quote me on that.
Rachel W. replied:
We use a family doctor and he's not accepting now. Have been impressed with Dr.Miller and Dr. Ho.
Stephanie K. replied:
We love Dr. Hunter for pediatrician! And Ditto & Sammons for kid's dentist.
Cara H. replied:
Sorry... It's Dr. Fahler. Thx autocorrect!
Janet H. replied:
Definitely Dr. Bozic for the children's dentist!!
Barb M. replied:
I can't recommend dr Sammons enough for pediatric dentist and orthodontia. Dr bozic used to spend about:30 with me after the hygienists did the work. Dr Sammons always took time to explain what to expect as we progressed toward braces. He did a wonderful job with the girls orthodontia and was very reasonably priced. And best of all: because he is their dentist also, he was a one-stop shop for both.

We've gone to Jeff Hodge for dentistry and been very happy. Balloons!
