I don't know what kind of work you need done, but I would clean your haus for $15 an hour (HELLO! my name is: unemployed) and my boyfriend is an independent contractor/carpenter with a lot of experience in historical preservation, windows and doors, drywall, tiling etc. He has pretty reasonable rates and subcontracts from big firms like Hansen and JRB.
