Taste of China on Rt 1 opp Shop Rite is authentic and a bit pricey and superb. Many Asian go there frequently- half of what they prepare is off menu. MeiiFei in Madison (Wall St), is different, extremely good and very reasonable (and they do prepare gluten free !). Xzhangs in Old Saybrook near the train station is classic and ok. Everyone has a favorite!
