I've been to 2 dr's at Coastal Orthopedic; they were okay. The PT's I work with recommend Dr. Tifford at OSSM (Orthopedic Surgery + Sports Medicine) in Stamford. One thing that impressed me about him is that he took bilateral xrays of my knees; no one else has thought to do that. He's fairly new to the practice so it's easy to get an appt with him. Doing the things that cause you pain (like running) is not a bad idea, but it should be accompanied by some sort of therapy (physical, massage). Good luck!

I saw James Spak years ago. He's the physician for Sacred Heart Univ. sports teams. Really nice guy. Offices are in Trumbull. http://www.osmcenter.com

We had great experiences with Dr. Nalianathan (he goes by Dr. Nali). He has offices in Stratford and Shelton. If you tell him it is chronic they'll get you in right away, otherwise it's usually a wait. So sorry to hear about Lauren - Cecilia gets them too - not fun:(

Louis, I had great luck with Dr. Cimino. He is in Fairfield on Reef Road I believe. He is a foot specialist.
