Look into the Montessori schools. They are fantastic and no TVs at all. Both of my boys went to Montessori Academy on Hull, but Montessori at Mulberry would be a great option.

Katie H. replied:
I do not recommend the wetumpka child development center by the elementary school at all. I had a very bad experience there where my child age 2 at the time was "accidentally" left in the building by himself while the others went to lunch in the elementary school lunchroom. However Kiddie Kollege in Wetumpka is great. My child starts kindergarten this year and is well prepared thanks to them.
Randelle L. replied:
Wetumpka Preschool and Periscope is a good one. They also have a pre-K program

Does anyone know of some really good day cares for 2 year olds?! My husband and I are wanting to put our son in one. He's not potty trained yet, but we are working on...
Jenna T. replied:
Wetumpka Preschool and Periscope. My oldest went there when he was little and learned so much!! By the time he was 2 he could carry on a full blown conversation with you and you could understand him. When we moved to Millbrook it broke my heart to have to pull him from there. My niece and nephew go there too and we have all loved it. Expensive, yes but you get what you pay for
Katie H. replied:
Rose Mahria Owens, Kiddie Kollege in Wetumpka is AMAZING. Dalton went there and as soon as Annabelle gets old enough, she will go there too. I used to work there and everyone is great. I could not have asked for a better place for my sweet baby.

I need a Preschool/daycare for my 4 year old-in Elmore county. (Open to Millbrook/Wetumpka) Anyone have a suggestion that is not full, or has a 2 year waiting list?? I...
Amber F. replied:
The Eclectic Child Development Program next to Eclectic Elementary School is great! I don't know if they're full right now but it's worth a try. My niece went there years ago, and my boys went there last year. My oldest did speech therapy twice a week while he was there, and now that he's in kindergarten his therapy is continuing at the elementary school with the same teachers. It all transfers easily. The lady over the speech program is out of Wetumpka and I think she does therapy for several schools and preschools around Elmore County. But all of the teachers at the preschool are wonderful and truly love all of the kids. I loved them all. Plus, they really do teach your kids a lot. They use the kindergarten curriculum so it's like you're getting a practice year before the real thing. That's how I felt at least. And it's affordable! Only $85 per week for 1 kid, with a $5 break for a second kid. They provide snacks, you just have to send a lunch or buy one from the school (they eat in the elementary cafeteria). Free/reduced lunches are also available.
