I recommend going to the curb Market downtown Montgomery for a large variety and it is close ro Millbrook just up 65. They have alot of vendors most local and they have a wonderful lady that sells crockpot soup, so good she was recently in a nationwide magazine on best little known places in the US.. Debra Morrison, she drives down from Clanton. You also have several organic vendors. They are open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It is limited hours 5-2 per the website. Ms Debra gets there around 10 ish I believe. Eggs, jam, veggies, Clanton peaches even crafts..

I would rather have the small locally owned restaurants make it here in Wetumpka! We don't need large chains for good food. The large chain restaurants put others out of business. Zaxby's in my opinion was the reason for RJs closing. Give me Kickin Chickin in Eclectic over Zaxby's any day. Our Place Cafe is also a wonderful locally owned restaurant as is Coaches Corner. We should be thankful for our local restaurants!!! Maybe if we didn't travel to Prattville or Montgomery to eat out, or only eat at large franchise restaurants the local restaurants wouldn't close

Ox Yoke was my go to place for years. After they built the new restaurant, seems like they changed suppliers bc the steaks weren't as good. I've not been to Coach's Corner but have heard bad things. Ruby Tuesday's was good, affordable, and had healthy choices. Sad it closed. I'd like to support local businesses and not travel.

I'm all for supporting local businesses, but really what is there at night in Wetumpka? Our Place is excellent, but it is too expensive to eat regularly for me anyway. I love the chicken salad at Frankie's, but she is open during the day when I'm at work in Montgomery. Coaches Corner is mediocre. The Chinese and Mexican places are average on a good day. The last time I ate BBQ at Hog Rock, it tasted like leftovers. Smokin S is good but not open at night.

Coaches Corner has always been very good when we were there with excellent service. We also like the restaurants at the Casino. It's a very short walk through the actual casino, and I didn't notice any smoke. The food was great and it was an enjoyable experience. Please no more Mexican restaurants!!
