Heritage Prairie Farm in Elburn, St. Charles Place or Blumen Gardens in Sycamore is gorgeous and not sure if you can cater in, but Nats on Maple in Sycamore is delish and reasonable prices!

The Limerick Pub is excellent. Across the street is Squires Rock Creek Chophouse for steaks. I was there on Sunday--excellent!

Sharon, The name rings a vague bell but I don't recall going there. Dad liked Mrs. K's Tollhouse and later Duke Zeibert's, My own money or lack of it took me to the Ponderosa. I think there was one on Viers Mill Road. Liked the Anchor Inn for seafood (more during my adult years). Still like Branded 72 (formerly O'Briens) for bar-b-q. If anyone would like to go there, give me a shout but the whole menu is bar-b-qey so be warned.

Seconding on the Giuseppi's recommendation. Had it recently and it was goood. Of course, Stained Glass or Corner Pub pizzas are the benchmarks for my tastebuds!

It replaced the Sirloin and Saddle Restaurant in the late '60 s or maybe 1970. The location was near the old movie theater entrance, sort of catty corner to Guardian Federal Savings on the outside. The main entrance was on the outside, as I recall. People's Drugs (CVS) was a couple of shops farther away from the theater.
