Newly vegan, found this at a grocery store in town. Almost brought tears to my eyes.
Can anyone recommend me "icecream" brands to try, or can anyone share a recipe?

that stuff is so good, you found a good brand, and now you HAVE to try this recipe, it's so easy to make and the taste is amazing: http://www.differentshadesofgreen.com/2011/10/coconut-bliss-cake.html

I am trying to find a recipe I had for coconut and banana ice cream, but in the meantime I found this one http://empoweredsustenance.com/easy-banana-chai-ice-cream-paleo-and-allergen-free/

Nada Moo is the most amazing. when they give out samples at Whole Foods, I circle around several times for more samples

I like SoDelicious a lot too and Almond Dream is also pretty dope

Coconut Bliss is definitely one of the better vegan ice cream brands (and the only coconut milk one I like, personally), the Ginger Cookie Caramel is my fave flavor of theirs. My favorite brand is the Double Rainbow soy cream, this one in particular: http://instagram.com/p/qF6RW0FCEo/?modal=true
Advent calendar!! My wife LOVED advent calendars growing up and I have never been able to find her a good or affordable one. Does anyone know of any vegan advent...

Are you thinking chocolate Advent calendars? I know there are many types but that's what it sounds like. I'm in MD too but I don't know any place that for sure will have that - perhaps the Mom's organic Market? There used to be a shop in Rockville that might have been somewhere to sell something like those but it's closed now. Veganessentials.com or Etsy may have something?

If you can’t find one then why not try making your own! get some squares of chocolate from your favorite vegan chocolate bar or whatever sweet you see fit. cut the front off a small empty cereal box (or anything along the lines that works) and then place in strips of thin cardboard in (kept in place with slits cut in them or hot glue or whatever material you have at hand) as the dividers and fill with chocolate. glue or tape decorated paper to the sides of the box and then for the front (side where chocolate will be taken from) i’d recommend using wrapping paper flipped on it’s blank side so it will be easy to tear. draw the advent calendar squares and numbers on ahead of time with permanent marker. make sure they line up with the grid you made for the chocolate! then cover the opening with it. :)
happy holidays!

Divine makes a vegan chocolate advent calendar. It's 70% dark chocolate. I've found it in person at Cost Plus World Market for about $8.
