My daughter has a 41 ft 5er that has arrived in Texas. Their air conditioning can't keep up with our heat. Any suggestions to help them keep cool?

You can install 3 ACs with a 50 amp service. It's just that two of them cycle back and forth. It works. To the original poster though adding a second AC is the answer. I had to add a second one to our 40' 5 th wheel. We also added insulation to the floor where we could but that was more for winter really. Make sure you ducts haven't settled and blocked flow. Look into this link to improve air flow. http://www.heartlandowners.org/archive/index.php/t-1069.html
Two ideas, both can be cut to fit your RV windows: 1. A fairly inexpensive fix, available in rolls from Home Depot: Reflectix. 2. A fairly expensive fix: a HP product called One-View Perforated Adhesive Window Vinyl, available on Ebay. The 2 nd product cuts the sunlight but allows you to see out.

They could also add a free standing unit and vent it out the window. These are great and also dehumidify when it is muggy hot. http://www.homedepot.com/p/LG-Electronics-12-000-BTU-Portable-Air-Conditioner-and-Dehumidifier-Function-with-Remote-Control-in-Gray-67-2-Pint-Day-LP1214GXR/204684042?N=5 yc1 vZc4 m4
