The author of the article Don Richardson links was mostly written by Neodesha Group member Viola Kauth, sister of one of my best high school and church friends Leroy McDaniel. The camp itself was not much, mostly tents and things, near the Waterworks P ark west of Neodesha. Many locals remember the prisoners quite well as they were allowed to work for various businesses part of the time.I think the posting was made available by NHS Classmate Richard Lovett, now retired, but he was the webmaster for a major Kansas City website and later agreed to do the NeodyGrads website for me after I gave up my 14 years running it. The late Don Arnold, at one time my brother's father-in-law, was another wonderful person to know, and he sent me information from time to time about Neodesha too.

CCC Camp. Later Charley and Cecil Wilson's. The east side of that was the stinky chicken farm. (My spell checker wanted me to have typed "stinky children") wink emoticon
First things first, where would everyone like to go. Where is your favorite place to camp in Kansas and why? We need to pick a good spot that everyone likes!
