We were married at Broadoaks Country House and couldn't have asked for any better. Staff were wonderful as is the venue. Lots of options and flexible pricing, it was really easy for us to have exactly the wedding we wanted, at an affordable price. http://www.broadoakscountryhouse.co.uk
I got married at The Samling on Windermere, we only had 6 guests and it was reasonable on cost! I'd definitely say check it out!! If you are looking for a photographer, I actually do a discount for anyone getting married in the Lake District:) www.adenpriest.com

My son & daughter in law got married at New House Farm in Lorton . It was stunning, and you can do as much or little for yourself as you choose . You can provide all your own daytime alcohol without corkage charge which makes a huge dufference . Check out the website and talk to Hazel the owner .

Highly recommend Manesty cottages... http://m.manesty.co.uk/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.manesty.co.uk%2F&dm_redirected=true#2565 ... on the banks of derwentwater, right at the base of Cat bells. It's only a 5 -10 minute walk to some great pubs and the lovely cafes in Grange. Has an amazing outdoor hottub you can hire for the day... it's natural so you light a fire in the back, fill with water and leave for the day whilst you go hiking. The owner will keep the fire going. You then return from the hills and rest your weary legs looking out over derwentwater ☺
