Hi Heather! Best of luck as you transition to Wburg! Here is a great list with an overview of the local pediatricians! If you have more specifics on what you're looking for in a Dr., I'm sure there are ladies who will pipe up with recs. http://williamsburgmothering.com/the-williamsburg-list/pediatricians/ For more information about our local MOPS group here at the Chapel, email chapelmops@gmail.com and we can get you registration paperwork and childcare availability.
My one year old super sick. Any recommendations of a pediatrician who would see us today? I think she just needs some antibiotics. We live in firestone.
Jan J. replied:
Call Carbon Valley Medical Center (the clinic just east of King Soopers). They reserve slots of time for walk-ins: 303.833.8880
ISO: A good Pediatrician in Williamsburg or anywhere North of Williamsburg (as far as Richmond). Thank you!
Jewel W. replied:
Try pediatric associates of Williamsburg at chkd! My almost 2 year old and newborn baby brothers see Dr. Powell there, and she's amazing! My mom says nothing but good things about chkd. The center even has two sides separating the sick and well kiddos. Hope this helps!
Hi ladies! Can anyone recommend a good pediatrician in the area?
Birth W. replied:
Hi Amanda! You might consider joining our FB group, Williamsburg Mothering Group, and posing your question there; you would get a bigger response, since this page is set up as a page and not as a group, so posts to the main wall don't go out to all fans unless they are posted by Birth Matters Williamsburg (hope that wasn't too confusing!). Williamsburg Mothering Group is a closed FB group -- though all mamas are welcome! -- and has over 80 mamas who can share their thoughts with you. WMG is a positive community; business solicitations and comments that are anything but constructive are not allowed. If you do join and ask about pediatricians there, you'll get the most useful response if you tell us a bit about your parenting style (Breastfeeding? Formula feeding? Vaccinating? Delayed/no vaccination? etc.) so that we can make pediatrician suggestions that are a good match to your needs. You can also search "pediatrician" in the search box at the group page; it will bring up past discussions about pediatricians which you might find illuminating! Hope to see you over there! https://www.facebook.com/groups/226241034096663/
Okay since we're moving home I need a good pediatrician and pediatric cardiologist in the Utah county area.
Laura S. replied:
I work the peds floor at utah valley hospital and my fave ped by far is Dr Johnson in Provo or Utah Valley Pediatrics has a ton of good docs in Orem and Provo and one on call every night late in the office so it's way convenient. Hoffman is the only ped cardio guy down here I know of, most go to primary's for that kind of stuff...good luck!
Kylie E. replied:
I don't know about cardiologist but I love my pediatrician Dr. Glade at Utah valley pediatrics. Where will you be living?
Stephanie A. replied:
Alpine pediatrics! They have an after hours clinic in their office. It's saved us a bunch of times! And they've always been extremely attentive and their response time is great. We love Dr. Cox!
Sarah K. replied:
Alpine Peds. Hands down. I switched from another Peds office to them. They're great. Pg and Orem offices.
Allanna J. replied:
I agree with Stephanie. We love Alpine Peds and Dr Cox.
Monica E. replied:
Angie, if you can get in with Dr. Mumford at Utah Valley Pediatrics in American Fork, you won't find a better doctor especially when it comes to dealing with complex mysterious issues. I've used him for 10 years, through all of Tabitha's major medical needs, to each of the foster children we've had with needs ranging from clubfeet to HIV-positive, to autism spectrum, to drug exposure. He's fantastic. I also love Dr. Connor in the same office and Dr. Ashby is wonderful in the same office. I have had less than stellar experiences with Dr. Glade, He missed some pretty big things with some of my kids. He's been good for typical childhood illnesses, but the more complex issues we see one of the three doctors I mentioned above.
Danica R. replied:
We see Dr. Jason Garnreiter and Dr. Pinto at Primary Children's cardiology and love them! I don't think there are other peds cardiologists outside of Primary's.
Brittney T. replied:
I also agree with Alpine peds. We go to the PG office and see Dr. Spencer!
We just moved here a couple of months ago, and I need to find a new pediatrician and dentist for my girls. Any suggestions?
Williamsburg M. replied:
I really like Dr. Gottfried with Sentara Williamsburg Pediatrics. You can google them for all the details:) (-Meagan)
Stephanie B. replied:
I really like Dr. Kristina Powell at Pediatric Associates of Williamsburg. I think Ped. Associates and Williamsburg Peds are the two main ones here in the burg. Couldn't tell you about dentists bc we don't believe in them...: ) j/k
Jennifer M. replied:
We go to Dr. Gottfried as well and really like her. My dentist is still in Newport News from when I was working, but I've heard good things about Norge Dental and Dental Arts (New Town).
Williamsburg M. replied:
Norge Dental is fantastic- although I've only gone there, my kids go this week...I can let you know after their appts how it is for kids. -Melissa
Williamsburg M. replied:
I absolutely LOVE Dr. Graham in Newtown -Christina Bersing

Kira J. replied:
Anna Feroze she's great
Kelsey H. replied:
Lorraine Perkins is awesome for both. I've seen pretty much everyone else there, and she's outdone all of them.
Joanna W. replied:
Lorraine Perkins IS awesome, but just be advised that I've been her patient for about 6 years now, and I have had some difficulties trying to schedule sick visits with her. Well visits are easy because you schedule them well in advance, but sick visits have been a challenge - and I've heard a couple other people say the same thing. I love her, but I've actually considered changing doctors for this reason. Now, you did specify Sentara Family Medicine, and it may be that this issue I've had is a practice thing more than a specific doctor thing, but I just wanted to throw that out there so you'd be aware.
