Jeff Kiess Construction, Cogan Station, 435-5415. He removed a bathroom to expand our kitchen and also opened a wall between two other rooms to give more of an open concept. This was in 2010 and his work still looks as great today as the day he completed it. I might add, he beat another contractor's bid by $7,200! He charged less than $1,000. So above all, get at least three bids.

The current average in PA is $200-$500/sqft in vertical additions (that is directly from my relative that is a PA architect). That means $200 k-500 k for the small amount of 1000 sqft. It is expensive, but you have to remember that after the ceiling of the top most level it is only designed to hold the same amount of weight as a single bedroom, so you basically have to completely re-engineer the house. Also, F & S (from hughesville) is a licensed home builder. http://www.homeadvisor.com/rated.FSRenovations.36618230.html
So looks like we need to have our roof replaced. Ugg. Anyone know any good contractors or ones to stay away from. Also someone reasonable. Message me or post here....
