Lake Health is always looking for volunteers to do a lot of different jobs. Also, if you are a senior, RSVP is an organization that places retired seniors in non profits in Lake County. Google them for contact info

Well Jess as someone who's entire life is in this I would say the following: finding a good preschool now is a good idea. A. they fill up, B. a quality preschool will have a quality toddler program which will allow a smooth transition. Its as simple as that. If I were you I'd go around to them, morning time is best time to observe (9-11). There are key things to look for: 1.Crafts Vs Art, 2. Choice Vs Lack of Options, 3. Promoting Exploration, 4. Text Rich Environment, 5. Well Defined Centers, 6. Weekly Planning Vs Premade Curriculum, 7. Is The Planning Based off of Needs of Students, 8. Family Involvement, 9. Cultural Diversity. You also want to find a place were the teachers are certified. This is a big topic for Carly and I as I am a bit of a snob being someone trying to get Reggio certified. If you have questions feel free to ask, I have 7 years of education in this field, plus the years of experience.

Painesville Church of the Nazarene has a preschool. It's supposed to be pretty good, the teachers are good and it's actually run by an educator which is hard to find in preschools.

Willoughby Montessori on SOM Center Road has preschool for half the day then your child goes to the day care classroom for the rest of the day. I worked in the infant/toddler area for eight years and loved the parents, staff and of course the kids!
