Child & Day Care in Wilmington Island, GA

After visiting many preschools and daycares as an OT my 3 favorites with education plans are the JEA preschool on Abercorn and Derenne, First Covenant on Bull Street and Maggie's Day School on Abercorn just North of Chuckie Cheese. I have never been to In His Arms though.

It's not the Island but Maggie's Morning School is the best!

Enrollment starts February 23. If you log on to sccpss.com you can get the info for pre k. In his arms has before and after school care as well as ga lottery pre k. They take them to school on their buses and pick them up in the afternoon.

My daughter went to day care at Childcare Network until she got in to Pre-K at May Howard. My son went to before and after school care there until this year. Once both kids were in May Howard it was just easier to use Pryme Tyme at the school. They still go to Childcare Network during school breaks. I can't speak to their Pre-K program because we've never used it, but my children have loved it there and have been treated very well.

Charles Ellis Montessori School is absolutely awesome the love and care they get in pre-k and kindergarten is phenomenal and they have before and after school care

As pet sitters for 22 years we come across loose dogs all the time. The worse places for us are Tybee, the female named streets on Whitemarsh and Brevard Point. We never let another dog come up to our clients dogs and I have no problem using force to keep someone else's dog away from the dog I am walking. So sorry for the man and dog because now they will both probably be traumatized. Direct Stop is a great spray to have when walking your dog.

I was there as well... It was scary. I have done dog rescue for years, and appreciate that there are factors to be considered... But these two pitts were attacking this gentleman's dog (unprovoked) and they were on the throat with no distraction. The police officers, vet techs and good hearted folks who stopped were amazing. As I understand it from the police officers, the gentleman and his dog will be ok, however, neither of the pitts had on a collar (and one had recently had pups) and the gentleman will likely be left with ER and vet bills that aren't really fair. This poor man was jerked out of his shoes, smashed his head into a tree root so hard that he needed many stitches... The dogs who attacked him, and their owners, need to be addressed.

Betz Creek is bad for loose dogs also.

Saw a really crazy Dog attack on Wilmington Island right in front of my house at 7:30 this morning. 2 dogs were lose next to Child Care Network and attacked an older man walking his dog on a leash in my neighborhood. The cops came and tried to stop the Dog attack with gunshots & bats BUT nothing stopped the Dogs except for PepperSpray. Both the man and his dog were bleeding and extremely hurt and I'm not sure how they are doing.
