I personally know two people who have go e to nail sparty and gave gotten that bad skin bacterial infection. It's the thing you put your feet in, it's nit being cleaned well enough. I do know at fabulous Hair and nails Ellie Keller is a fanatic about cleaning her stuff correctly

Wow had my name tagged a ton of times! I american, I built my salon because I actually worked in other salons here in Wilmington and seen so much unsanitary and unsafe practices and built my salon to be the highest in sanitation. No one in wilmington has a whirlpool spa that has disposable liners AND jets. You can not be cleaner then having a new jet and new liner each time. Also I have carbon filtered air machines that sucks all dust and fumes from any acrylic application (which is high quality acrylic). We throw all files and buffers away and only use one time use pumice stones that we throw away also. We have 240 high quality and safe gel polishes. We actually have a whole wash room dedicated to properly sanitizing all metal implements. Also a word of advice: a pedicure tub must circulate for 10, yes 10 whole minutes with approved disinfectant between each client, or it has not been properly cleaned. Simply spraying and wiping down does not clean anything. The debris and bacteria is shot back under your toe nails. I will also add that It is against state board regulations to work on clients that already have a fungus or open sores, so if anyone has that, we will refuse service with out a Dr's approval.
