I need a local ophthalmologist that can do glaucoma pressure checks with blue light machine....we normally go to DUKE Eye Center, however, pressures are up and need to...
Corrine R. replied:
Vision Square
Kaye C. replied:
Eye Associates of Wilmington in Southport.
Judith H. replied:
Dr Tara Parnell is the best!
Dan Z. replied:
I'll save you a trip. Dr Kelly on OKI 278-6400
Monica S. replied:
Eye Associates of Wilmington or Dr. Kelly. My father-in-law has glaucoma and sees both. Trent has to have regular pressure checks and our insurance didn't include Dr. Kelly. We've been mostly happy with Eye Associates of Wilmington's Southport office. We loved them until Trent's favorite, Dax Hawkins, stopped coming here as often and they started using an optometrist for regular care. We do like Travis Pickens, but he's not an M.D., which you want for complicated eye issues.
Monica S. replied:
Also, Duke Eye Center is the best and Trent's dad still goes up for occasional yearly checkups.
Paula S. replied:
Vision Square beside Hardees. They are the best and I'm sure they do the eye pressure test. Dr. D. does it on me every year.
Wanda H. replied:
Travis Pickens is top notch.
Bruce B. replied:
I also like Vision Square. Dr. DesLauriers is excellent. She has been monitoring my pressure since we moved to SPT in 2013.
Janet R. replied:
My husband sees Dr. Molly Allen at Coastal Carolina Eye Clinic. 8068 Market St, Wilmington, NC 28411 (910) 686-8509
Stephiane D. replied:
Dr. Price in Wilmington. But she does come to shalotte some
Pamela R. replied:
Parnell and DelLauriers are both good, been to both.. usually go to the dr at Leland Walmart.. all can do the pressure tests..
Theodore C. replied:
Travis Pickens. Tell him ted sent ya. He is the best
Suzanne S. replied:
I have narrow angles and had 4 iridotomis and have lens transplants in both eyes to lower my chances of a glaucoma attack. I use Dr. Katherine Oschner in Wilmington. Dr. Molly Allen did my first two irodotimies and Dr. Katherine Oschner did my second irodotimies and both of my lens transplant surges. I highly recommend them both.
Suzanne S. replied:
I use to travel to Duke eye center and and they recommended Dr Molly Allen and Dr Katherine Oschner. I like Dr. DesLauriers but have never seen her for speciality care.
Jan R. replied:
Dr. Andracchi in Wilmington is great but she's a neuro-ophthalmologist. Dr. Pickens at Wilmington Eye Associates in Southport is also great but he's not an ophthalmologist.
Anne C. replied:
I have been going to Dr Tara Parnell for 14 years and she is really good. She does the blue light test.
