Lisa F. replied:
We use Brunswick Animal Hospital up at 17 & Mt. Pisgah. It is a little concerning that the nearest emergency place is up in Wilmington. Fortunately, we haven't had to use them. We've been happy with Brunswick though.
Lillian O. replied:
I used the Vet Emergency Hospital in Wilmington over Memorial Day. They were WONDERFUL!!!
Gail H. replied:
We use Brunswick Animal Hospital. Actually keep my dog as an established patient there because you never know when you might need a vet. Always treated courteously there.
Suzan G. replied:
While we were at HB, our cat developed a bladder obstruction and subsequent kidney failure (and almost died). Because our cat required 24-hour care, we were referred to Eastern Carolina Veterinary Referral Animal Emergency and Trauma in Wilmington (910-790-1070 or 791-7387) Our cat recovered and received outstanding care from Dr. Shannon Flood and Staff. Totally professional and kept us apprised every step of the way. Highest recommendation!

A Country Vet on Market Street. I've been to many vets in Brunswick County and have found them worth the drive. If you call and explain your situation ahead of time, I'm sure they will work with you. They are affordable, compassionate and do not push unnecessary things. They also give discounts for multiple pets.

Is Leland vet too far? On village road...Dr. Brazick is outstanding. They were excepting new patients and got my old girl Holly who was sick in within a hour of calling them recently

If it helps...im picky with vets after having such outstanding ones in CT. However: Leland vet (there are 2 doctors ; both great Holly see's the guy mostly) I trust them totally and have so much faith in. They are not pull pushers they are great vets abs truly show empathy and really care & still love what they do. That's hard to find. All their office staff is great too. Goodluck Greta. Hoping she's ok
Anticipating relocation to Wilmington, NC - any greyhound peps out there? Will need vet recommendations . . .
Carol G. replied:
Pine Valley Veterinary are highly recommended. There a lot of Greyhound people in Wilmington. I was recommended to this vet. I live in Jacksonville and drive all the way to see him and Dr. Rhinehart(female). I also have a lot of businesses that I take care for Aflac. Roy Mayo who is Deb Mayo husband puts together play date groups for the greys to play and sit in kiddie pools after they play. Usually 15-20 greys will be there. Plus, Pine Valley Veterinarian takes care a lot of greyhounds. I was recommend by Deb Mayo

Thanks everyone. I'm going to try Kentmere next time and look into DHA for spaying. Im still struggling to understand how my current vet could expect anyone to pay over 500 when DHA and other places charge under 100 for the same procedure.
Okay, facebook community, Nick, Sadie, and I need your help. We have a recommendation from Sadie's veterinarian that states that she is no longer a threat to public...

Ashley as you can see we all love our babies so much that we each have different requirements for care. Grace Lynn Maggard is correct, go and tour each facility and judge for yourself. I have used both facilities and I know which one is the place for my babies.

I use Paw Beach in Wilmington on Market street. Fantastic staff, the owner is a vet, and so on. We used Greenwood years ago and our dogs smelled like bleach and one got sick after we picked them up. It may have changed since then, but I don't recommend them.

I love Greenwood Pet Camp. My two girls actually stared out the back window as we were driving away bc they had so much fun!! They keep all the dogs separate which was huge for me as I've heard of tragic stories from allowing all the dogs out to play at one time. The guy even gave me a tour bc I was pregnant and very emotional about leaving my fur babies for a week!!
