I'm thinking of switching our vet clinic. I like the one we were using, but it's in Wakefield. When we adopted our dog, we were given a coupon for our first visit....

I LOVE Winchester vet group on Cross st. We have been going there for over 9 years, our vet tragically passed away suddenly 18 months ago but every other vet we have seen since (dr. Feigin and dr. Zanotti) have been amazing! The techs and the girls at the desk are all so nice too, they all call out our dog's name excitedly as we walk in with her, and she loves them too!

Okay, so I made an appointment with Dr. Zanotti at the Winchester Vet Group. Thanks for the recommendations. It really helped!

torn about saying this on FB, but here goes..... I know first hand of a family who couldn't afford veterinary care for their pet and Winchester Vet Clinic continued to care for the animal even though they knew they may never see payment (bill was over $1,000) I can't say enough about the sincerity of the care we receive there.
Elizabeth H. replied:
Here he is! Winchester Vet Group's newest patient, Clyde!

I also have to say, that once our normal vet was out a few years ago when my dog was having a health scare and he felt that one of the tests they did before they sent her to the Referral Hospital was unnecessary knowing we were going to spend $6 k there and he never charged us the $750 for the test they gave! We never even asked, he just said he felt if he had been there he wouldn't have done it so he wouldn't let us pay it! So honest!

I fourth Winchester Veterinary group.

We use Stoneham Animal Hospital on elm st in Stoneham. After a trip to the Referral hospital in woburn for an overnight emergency they told us our cat would need surgery but the vet would be cheaper but still $$$$. We went to our vet and he said there was a powder we could put in the food for $40 and was 80% effective and to try that first. I feel he's never taken advantage of us!
Marnie K. replied:
Also a fan of Winchester Vet - especially Dr Zanotti, but they are all wonderful.
Natalie M. replied:

Umm we hated Stephens City Hospital. One girl was kind, the others & the doc were awful. We LOVE LOVE Dr green at kingdom animal in clearbrook & they are really reasonable
Pam H. replied:
See if you qualify for Care Credit ... It's a credit card for Drs and Vets ... Usually you have an interest free period and it's easier to spread out a $200-$300 vet bill ... Just make sure you pay it off within the period they give you or interest is charged back from the beginning ...

I use Kingdom Animal! They are awesome! The vet looked over Sadie's broken pelvic X-rays for free to give me his opinion on the surgery process! They aren't in it for the money! They genuinely care for their fur patients!

If no vet, go to chemist & get Hydrigen Peroxide, but DO NOT mention is for animal. Dilute 3 parts water to 1 part HP. It will not allow wound to mend until all poison gone. Yu will see it fizz & it will eat the poison, & mend from inside upwards.nBut Jihn Knott is very good if he is open.
