I advise you go to another city not in Appalachia to buy your car. It costs money to haul them up the mountain and it's built into the price you pay. Cars driven on flat land will also have less wear and tear. It's usually considerably cheaper to go to Greer or other upstate SC dealers.

Johnson City, TN has much better prices, compared to Asheville. Use Autotrader set at 100 miles from here. Good luck.

CarMax.com... Greenville has a store. You can get cars from other places in Carmax land for a small fee. Autotrader.com too.

Ricky Rogers Auto Sales, I bought a used car there and had a good experience. It does not meet your need for "plethora" but look at their inventory online and see if you want to go. My impression and experience was that this is a business that will talk to you straight and be reasonable if any problems arise. I was also impressed that the woman who manages sales, who seemed like a traditional mountain mom type, taught herself really good Spanish in order to be able to interact with all customers.
This is probably 8 year old information so do your own due diligence. When I just looked at their site, it appears they expanded from 2 lots back then to 4 now. My testimony regards the lot way the heck down Brevard Rd. - 191.

We've bought 2 trucks from Sam and Daves on Patton. They aren't much for negotiations but they start at a fair price, give good trade in value and are honest about what they have.

My strategy has always been to find the car I want first, then deal with whatever bullshit I have to at the dealer.

If you have a Costco membership you can get a good deal through a lot of local dealers. No haggling needed.

I had a great experience at Gene Pankey motors, Craig Wilson was awesome. Even very helpful post sale. I had an issue with my car, and he was with a customer, he handed them off to a co-worker, and gave me his full attention. My wife bought a car from Jedidiah at Larson Hyundai. He got us $4000 off on a new car, and again post sale spent time helping us with getting some questions answered.

If you can narrow your criteria down even further you'll spend less time visiting dealerships (make, mileage, year, color, etc). CarFax.com, CarMax.com, Craigslist and OfferUp are good places to start the search and get an idea of what is available in this area. Most of the inventory is posted online which will save you the headache of searching random car lots.

Did you try carmax yet? They seem to be no thrills here is your car and key and out the door.

I got my Fit from Bellevue Honda - a hell of a drive, certainly, but they were great to deal with.

Bought twice from the Hertz car sales in Burien with no hassle. They're a no bargain dealership, and both times had a great deal on low mileage models. Also 12 month warranty.

CarPros forged our signatures on a slew of paperwork. 0/10 fuck that place. I’ve also heard Curbside is equally crooked and predatory. Always remember they’re there to make money, not sell good cars.

Don't go to Puyallup Nissan. Shady as hell. At least the service department is.
We're trying to trade in our car this weekend and it needs a detailing pretty bad.
