The YMCA is awesome. Rose Doppler. My good friend Carlota teaches Pound class. It is so much fun. People are so supportive and friendly at the Y.

Twin City Spark. Whitney Preslar is the best. For the first time ever, I'm learning the correct form and am doing things I didn't think I would be able to do. She's very affordable and is the whole package... Training, nutrition, motivation. I've lost 26 pounds since mid December.

I enjoyed https://www.facebook.com/129396870508295 CrossFit Amplitude until I moved. Not in Ardmore per se, but not far. A straight shot down country club from 5 points. They focus on Crossfit classes but they have a standard gym space that you could work out in as well. Josh Coleman or Justin Plummer could tell you more about CFA!:)

The William G Y is just to packed. And the YWCA my kids could never enjoy the facility bc they rent out the gyms and the pool area. So we cancelled our membership. Planet Fitness I enjoy but it's not for heavy lifting! The gym downtown across from Mellow Mushroom is where my uncle goes and he like to body build. Not sure of the name?

We aren't body builders by any means, but we like Work Out Any Time at Pavilions Shopping Center on Hanes Mall Blvd. It's never too crowded, it's open 24 / 7, they have plenty of equipment, and it's always clean. We don't have a personal trainer, but they really pushed that when we first joined (we just said 'no' a couple of times, and that was that). http://workoutanytime.com/winston-salem/

LA Fitness on Stratford isn't really much farther from Ardmore than 4 th Street. Also Planet Fitness on Peters Creek is close.

I would suggest the YMCA or The Recreation Park Centers. The Downtown YMCA has a nice kitchen area next to their kids & teen centers. I also noticed someone grilling something outside the kitchen at the YMCA yesterday.
