Mike Szwec - Thanks. I do have your guys on my list, too! Calling EVERYONE in a few minutes. The Sewer District guy told me the same thing you're saying. The part I question is that he said it would actually come out of my washer drain...which is technically the very lowest point. It's NOT coming out of that area at all...but I almost think my plumber may have installed something to prevent that from ever happening? Possible?) The next TWO lowest points (back apartment toilet and tub) are definitely showing signs.

Mike Rollins, Russell Hubard are a couple that come to mind. It sounds like an obstruction somewhere in the line. Water will always come out of the lowest point i.e. a shower drain or toilet.
