Cindy and Eric Davis, dvm. They regularly put on low cost castration clinics. They're great and wonderful people and they do fantastic work. Crypts are always accepted at their clinics. Website is r-vets.org for schedule and contact info

I've not gone there yet but I've been hearing good things about Dr. Yamate, a holistic vet here in Davis http://ciamvet.com/. There is another holistic vet I have high regard for in Vacaville. I'll find the contact info.

Cache Creek Veterinary Dr. Bert Brooks in Woodland
Robin K. replied:
The vet in Vacaville is Nancy Martin, dvm, East Meets West vet. I think she'd be supportive of the diet you're interested in. I think she also has as office or lives in Winters. I know she recommends a raw diet for cats.

Midtown Animal Clinic in Davis is wonderful. They are off fifth street.
Jessica B. replied:
Try Animal Wellness Center in Davis. She does all kinds of stuff and believes in raw, prey diets. Actually recommended it for our dogs. Her name is Kris Dailey and they are open Mon-Sat.
Jessica B. replied:
I forgot to mention she does Eastern and Western medicine as well as Acupuncture and Chiropractic. She is well rounded in her knowledge and straight forward, which I certainly appreciate.

Dr. Yamate is the best holistic vet I have ever seen. She is thorough, patient, & knowledgeable. I have sent lots of people to see her, including my brother. I recommend you try her.

Depending on where you live, Toby Fund has help available 541-866-2527. Mainly for rural residents.
Abigail M. replied:
Try the Toby Fund for sure. It was like $180 to get my Anatolian neutered and they asked what I could pay. Only ended up paying $40 for the procedure. Thank you for neutering.

Lanna Crowell, alas, we do not have an SPCA in Josephine County. There is a person who claims to be the Josephine County SPCA in ads on Craigslist. However, the last I heard, this party is not currently registered with the state as a non-profit organization.
Stacy C. replied:
There is a JoCo Spay & Neuter Fund. I'd suggest contacting a vet close to your home and ask them. Good for you working to get the job done - too many unwanted puppies out there!

We use All Creatures, but they are so full they have not taken new patients for a year now. I'm not sure of an alternative vet - if you call All Creatures, they may have referrals: 541-890-0783
Carma C. replied:
There is a service that neuters/spays pets for low income. Call the Humane Society, they have vouchers, and do it a few times a year. There is a Jo Co rep in charge of it, but I don't know more.
