Ok so Shauna came and she tried to get a halter on but no luck...she has barely eaten or drank all day..its definitely not colic cause what little she eats she poops out... but the good news is Dr Perano is coming out tomorrow when he gets home and will do what ever he can to get her sedated to see what is wrong...finally a vet willing to go all out on an unhandled horse.

The Yolo County Animals Service Shelter in Woodland had a spay and neuter internship as well as a kitten internship. I did the kitten one last year and you get lots of hands on experience giving medications, giving vaccinations, and helping care of cute kittens. No on the glucosamine.What kind do you use and where would I get it?I think she has some kind of nagging injury that wont heal.She has been to Dr Ross a couple times but she always walks fine around him so he says just give her aspirin when needed. She has days where she seems like shes 14 yrs old and cant get up but when she gets moving she seems to loosen up. I care for 7 animals and dont mind spending money on them but Jules is surely not my vet of choice after 1/2 dozen visits.

UCD's vet school should still be one of the better deals because it's a teaching hospital. I remember when I was looking up teeth cleaning for dogs Davis' vet school was like half the price of anywhere else in the Bay Area.
