Primary care physician recommendations? (Adults). If you have BCBS anthem and you like your doc, you'll save me an hour on the phone. Thanks yall!
Elegia M. replied:
Terrible time finding a PCP that even TRIES AT ALL any longer. Dr. Larry Feldman at Piedmont PHysicians is very good but if you get extremely ill, he will immediately dump you as a patient, stating that your illness is over his head (no matter whether it is or not) to save him time. Not very sick, he's great.
Melinda A. replied:
Dr. A. J. Orquia - West Cobb Medical - Wellstar
Mimi D. replied:
BCBS PPO here. Love Dr. Reznik at Urban Family Practice on Windy Hill. Always takes plenty of time listening

Beth G. replied:
Thanks for the correction Laura Nash. Cherokee Internal Medicine told me it wasn't an accepted plan this January so thankfully I was able to change plans. Maybe they take it now? Not easy to navigate.

Cindy W. replied:
Dr Michael Skardasis at exit 8 in Woodstock takes BCBS. 678-494-4450. He is a young, very intelligent, and kind doctor who is very thorough. He literally saved my life by finding a major disease before I even had symptoms.
Karla J. replied:
I love Dr. Clifford's whole staff! The P.A.s are great, and I almost always get in for a sick visit the day I call.
Sandra L. replied:

I am sorry to be contrary but Wellstar does take Anthem. I have recently had a baby and surgery at Kennestone with no issues at all with my BCBS Anthem plan. I really like Dr William Kriegel. He has been my doc for 10 years. Takes BCBS Anthem.
Moved to marietta. Need a new primary physician. Not satisfied with old one and don't want to drive to woodstock. Any suggestion. Cobb HMO
Harry G. replied:
That may be somewhat a challenge in this present day my friend. So many doctors have chosen special practice instead of primary care. Those of us on Medicare have an even harder task finding a Primary doctor who still accepts Medicare. I'm using Dr. Kenneth Parker with the Kennesaw Medical group on Cherokee St. in Kennesaw. I like him but he's an older guy and I wonder how much longer he's going to stay in the business.
Wayne G. replied:
Dr. Lamar Cousins
Charlie S. replied:
Foster may can advise you... We use Dr David Cantrell. I'm unsure, though, if he's taking on new patients. If so, he's pretty awesome.
Catherine W. replied:
Gordon and I use Dr Roger Hill with Wellstar Family Medicine on Cherry Street and like him very much.
Brenda B. replied:
Ask Linda Foster she knows the best !!
Jean S. replied:
I use Dr. Coombs (women) on Concord Rd, Smyrna, She is taking new patients.
Anyone have any recommendations for a doctor in the Woodstock/Cherokee County area? Nothing wrong, just need to find a primary care physician in the area. Thanks!

Kirby Reinecke. She's a PA at Northside family practice in Woodstock off Towne lake pkwy. She's awesome and the whole practice is really nice!

Hubby recommends Northside family practice and Kirby Reinecke specifically also.:-) I went once and saw someone else and they were good too. Good luck!

David P. replied:
Your Mom and I go to Dr. James Newlon DO on Towne Lake Pkwy
Karen P. replied:
He's nice. He's no Dr. Patel. If you are looking for personality plus, can't help you. I believe there is another doctor in the same practice as well. The building has its own lab and also houses a pediatrician and a couple of other doctors.
