I used to take my dad to a lovely group at Salvation Army. A wonderful woman used to run it. My dad has dementia and he got so much from it. You can leave them for the morning and they stay for lunch and they do crafts, play dominos, music etc but I used to stay with him and join in. They all have tea and biscuits together and it’s all really good and was only a few pounds or so.

I volunteer at two support groups for carers of people with dementia, your mum would be welcome. Lots of other carers in the same situation and lovely staff to help and advise your mum.
