I can personally recommend Helen Burkitt, she came out and measured up our window/ curtains and joined 4 curtains into 2 and took them up the correct length. Very professional & curtains look fab!

As a long-term councillor, Brian Ford will be aware that the parish council, as a democratcally elected body, is quite entiltled to carry out studies and consultations to define the thoughts of their parishioners; actions which are to be commended, resulting, one would hope, with an informed consensus of opinion before any submission.....

The consultation on possible plans for more sports facilities on Maunsell Way, was just that - a consultation. The Parish Council wanted to find out what people thought about this. We heard a wide range of views, from people strongly in favour to those strongly opposed. We now need to consider where we go from here taking account of all the opinions we heard. We do know that there is a shortage of sports fields in the village, and that village clubs have to use facilities outside the village. My personal view is that this is wrong and that village clubs should be able to train and play in the village. We realise that we will need to talk to Swindon Borough Council before we do aything, but the first step was, quite rightly, talking to Wroughton residents.
