Try Care.com. One of our students here at the college uses that to look for pt. time babysitting jobs.

I am a licensed child care provider in Yelm...20 years. There is a need for that area. Washington State requires that you be licensed by the Department of Early Learning. Start by contacting them. www.del.wa.gov You can private message me if you have questions or just want to chat about opening a child care.
FYI...Washington State Laws requires that anyone caring for children on a regular ongoing basis with out without monetary compensation to be licensed and regulated by the department of early learning. 20 hours STARS classes, CPR/first aid, food handlers, TB test for everyone over 14 living in your home, background checks on everyone over 14...and pass home daycare inspection by DEL licenser. It is actually a misdemeanor offense if caught and charged with operating an illegal child care. Go to www.del.wa.gov for more info.
Kimberlei B. replied:
Sandra Simpson...sounds like all you need now is the 20 Hours STARS classes, background checks and home inspection from a state licensed. Then you can start a child care business in your home. You should do it. Lots of benefits to being licensed. I have been operating a licensed child care for 18 years. Good income and you can be home for your own kids.
I'm looking for a great day care for my 5 year old son in Roy/Yelm. He used to go to Tender Moment but they are full. Anyone have recommendations that I can look into?

Call this number 800-446-114, they were very helpful, they will email you a list of the day cares in your radius your looking for, and what you are expecting. I was just looking myself for my almost 5 year old grandson, and a lot of them are either full, or waitlist. Sugar and Spice in Rainier did have a opening though.
